Turning Data into Savings: Reducing Global Adobe Enterprise Costs by Aligning Licensing with Actual Usage (In Progress)

Faced with a projected Adobe Enterprise renewal cost of over $500,000, driven by global headcount growth and unchecked license provisioning, in this case study, I led a multi-phase, data-driven initiative to realign software licensing with actual usage. Despite limited vendor reporting tools, I partnered with IT Asset Management, Infrastructure, Academic Affairs Technology Committee, and Institutional Research teams to analyze usage patterns, negotiate with Adobe, and implement a governance model that transitioned Creative Cloud access to a request-based, business-justified process. This strategic shift introduced cost controls, reduced compliance risks, and strengthened cross-campus collaboration around software management and fiscal stewardship.
